With NOMI KNX Swiss has launched a digital AI assistant live, which answers typical questions about planning, energy efficiency, manufacturer independence, and system integration competently, clearly and to the point answered. That fits the DNA of KNX: an open, manufacturer-independent standard with >500 manufacturers and compatible devices – modular, flexible and scalable.

Challenge
Buildings are becoming smarter – and the questions are increasing: How do I plan a future-proof Smart Home? Which solutions are truly energy-efficient?
In practice, a clear pain point emerged: Many recurring questions from electricians and building owners about KNX (planning, efficiency, manufacturer-independent integration) tied-up support resources and led to a high volume of emails. Information was scattered across websites, PDFs, and forums; answers were not always consistently prepared. The goal was to provide a natural-language, consistent response directly on the website, which reduces emails, saves time and the strengths of the open KNX standard communicates them centrally.
Solution
NOMI is a conversational assistant on the KNX website. It identifies requests (intents) and responds to them. precisely in natural language. and refers to further content when needed. The solution is available in multiple languages, compliant with data protection and can be curated and trained (FAQs, guides, manufacturer/device info).

Next Steps
Based on the insights gained, KNX feeds the content automation from dreamleap: Frequently asked questions are transformed into targeted content, guides, and training materials converted and rolled out in multiple languages.
In parallel, NOMI's knowledge base is curated and gradually expanded.
